Accessibility statement
DUBADENT is committed to letting everyone, including people with disabilities, use this site and receive the same service. We work to meet the WCAG 2.1 guidelines at level AA.
01The accessibility menu on this site
There is an accessibility button in the lower corner of the screen. Pressing it opens a menu that lets you adapt the site:
- Increase and decrease the text size across the whole site
- A high contrast mode
- A greyscale display
- Underlining every link
- Stopping animation and movement
- Resetting everything to the default
The settings you choose are saved in your browser and stay in effect on your next visit.
02What has been done on this site
- A correct semantic heading structure, so a screen reader can navigate the page quickly
- Alternative text on every image and every video that carries information
- Contrast ratios checked against the required threshold for text
- Full keyboard navigation, with a clearly visible focus indicator
- Respect for the operating system's reduced-motion preference, which disables animation and autoplaying video
- Forms with linked labels and clearly marked fields
- A layout adapted to phones and small screens, with no horizontal scrolling
03Keyboard navigation
The site can be used with a keyboard alone. Tab moves between elements, Shift with Tab moves back, and Enter or Space activates the selected element. In the before and after comparison, the divider can be moved with the arrow keys.
04Assistive technology
The site is built to accepted standards and is intended to work with the leading screen readers, including NVDA, JAWS and VoiceOver. If you run into difficulty with a particular assistive technology, we would like to hear about it so that we can fix it.
05Reduced motion
The site uses scroll animation and video that plays automatically. If you have set a reduced-motion preference in your operating system or browser, the site detects it and disables the animation and the automatic playback.
06Known limitations
Some of the content on the site includes patient films that do not yet carry captions. We are working on adding them. Until then, all the substantive information in those films also appears as text on the page.
07Found a problem? Tell us
We want to know. An accessibility enquiry is dealt with promptly, and if a particular adjustment is needed for you to receive the service, we will arrange it.
